2026 2nd International Symposium on Bioinformatics and Computational Biology (ISBCB 2026), hosted by Zhengzhou University, organized by the School of Electrical and Information Engineering and the Computational Intelligence Laboratory of Zhengzhou University, was successfully held in Zhengzhou on April 17-19, 2026. The conference brought together experts and scholars from around the world to jointly discuss the latest advancements in the fields of bioinformatics and computational biology.

The conference opening ceremony was presided over by Professor Ying Bi from Zhengzhou University. Professor Zhenlong Wang, Deputy Director of the Academic Affairs Office, delivered the opening remarks, warmly welcoming the distinguished guests and participating scholars.

The conference featured keynote speeches by several internationally renowned scholars, including Professor Huiling Chen from Wenzhou University, Professor Xiangtao Li from Jilin University, Professor Yiping Liu from Hunan University, Professor Yu Xue from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and Professor Luonan Chen from Shanghai Jiao Tong University. They shared their latest research achievements in the fields of bioinformatics and computational biology, sparking enthusiastic discussions and deep reflections among the attendees. The academic atmosphere on-site was highly engaging.

The conference was held in a hybrid format, attracting over one hundred experts and graduate students from universities and research institutions both domestically and internationally. It featured a diverse range of sessions, including oral presentations, and poster displays. Young scholars showcased their research achievements, fostering the exchange and collision of academic ideas. To encourage academic innovation and communication, several awards were presented on-site, including Outstanding Paper, Excellent Young Scholar Presentation, and Best Poster, recognizing and encouraging scholars who demonstrated exceptional talent in their respective fields of study.


Through this conference, the experts not only shared valuable research experiences but also established broader collaborative and communicative relationships, laying a solid foundation for future interdisciplinary exchanges, cooperation, and collaborative innovation at our institute.
